Data protection guideline

The companies of the "HIKINGDAYS" brand are committed to sustainability, responsibility and, of course, data protection. Every member of the management and every consultant working under the brand "HIKINGDAYS" knows the importance of data protection and the knowledge in the company is maintained and renewed annually. In accordance with the DSGVO, there is a binding data protection manual and up-to-date data protection commitment declarations of all consultants.

Strategy and principle: data economy

Only what is needed is stored and processed in terms of personal data. This approach eliminates any risk to data subjects. We only process data that pose no risk to data subjects (risk class 1 = no risk).

Our attitude: data belong to the data subjects

Business is a relationship between people. We appreciate being entrusted with data. Data subjects in our companies belong to the following categories: Employees, customers, suppliers, interested parties, cooperation partners and visitors to our companies and websites.

The data protection goal

Our goal in data protection is the respectful handling of this data entrusted to us. We know the laws and use the support of experts.

Responsibility of the company management

The responsibility for data protection lies with the company management. Anyone can contact any company management on this subject at any time.

Keeping risks deliberately low

The risks for the processed data are particularly low. The data we store has no particular value for criminals. We jointly develop measures against unintentional errors. Every year, risks are reassessed because the world is changing. When we identify needs, new security measures are defined and implemented.

For us, security in processing data rests on 3 pillars:

  • Trained employees
  • Use of secure technology with the support of professional IT service providers
  • Awareness of what matters

Our processors and service providers

Security in dealing with technology requires expertise. We have professional processors and service providers whom we select carefully. They provide us with sufficient guarantees of their competence in data protection and their technical and organizational measures. We have contractually committed them to data protection and work together in the interest of the data subjects.

Our team

We train our employees & partners to ensure that we all behave correctly. We formulate the rules that apply in the company for the processing of personal data in a simple and understandable way. Raising awareness makes it easier for us to comply with the rules. After all, it is easier to do successfully what you understand.

A data protection officer(s) is not nominated by the group of companies in conformity with DSGVO Art. 37, as the group employs less than 250 employees.
